Mapy's Story

Mapy Bossiwa Bolonda is originally from Congo. Son of Michel Bossiwa and Helene Eyenga Etswaka.

At the age of 12, he became seriously ill. Doctors never ound the cause of his illness, and many people lost hope. They called him “AKUFA LOBI”, which means “he will die tomorrow”. But, by the grace of God, Mapy was miraculously healed by God.

He accepted Jesus Christ in 1988. The death of his mother was a very painful time for him. He was confused, angry at God and doubting his existence, wondering why God had allowed such a trial. He became very committed in 1990 and started serving God. He was ordained as a minister in late 1995 in Congo. He left Congo in 1998, travelling through Congo Brazzaville, Cameroun, Paris settling in Manchester in 2000.

He me met his wife Golda in 2001 and they were married since 2003, they have three boys. With his wife Golda, they founded River of Life Ministries and River of Life Christian Community, through which they organize many spiritual and community activities in the UK, Europe and Africa.
