Our projects

At River of Life Christian Community, we empower disadvantaged groups, especially women, young people, and children, in Manchester and Congo. We focus on education, mental health, poverty alleviation, and community development, providing vital resources, advocacy, counselling, and practical tools to help individuals build better futures.

MASANO PROJECT - DRC

MASANO which means play in Lingala, is a project which is fighting gang violence, child prostitution and child poverty by empowering children and young people about their identity, cultural heritage, mental and physical wellbeing, environmental and community improvement through football and workshops with basic Christian teachings (love, respect, identity.) and outreaches. Providing a safe place to play and learn in a violent, poverty stricken and unstable society.

Women's health and wellbeing

Our Women’s Health and Wellbeing Programme is designed to bring women together in a supportive, uplifting space where they can focus on their overall wellness. Through a holistic approach, the programme combines swimming and gentle physical activities to improve fitness, alongside dedicated sessions on mental health and emotional wellbeing. We create a safe environment where women can connect, share experiences, and build confidence while learning practical ways to manage stress, strengthen their mental resilience, and nurture both body and mind. Together, we empower women to feel healthier, happier, and more connected.
